This year, Costco is giving everyone an early holiday gift. Right now, you can find the best deal on a Costco membership you’ll get all year.
The retailer is offering a $45 gift card to anyone who signs up for a membership by January 31, 2025, effectively bringing the cost of its entry-level membership, Gold Star, down to $20.
Gold Star vs. Executive Costco Membership Prices
If you plan on springing for an Executive membership, which currently costs $130 per year after last summer’s membership price hike, the same deal still applies, bringing the total price of the membership down to $85. That’s a bargain for both options.
Wondering whether to go for a Gold Star or Executive membership? The difference between the two is $65. An Executive membership also gives 2% cash back on all Costco purchases.
To determine if an Executive membership is worth it for your household, you’d need to spend $3,300 annually at Costco to make back the difference between Gold and Executive.
Once you pick your membership and sign up, you’ll have to wait about two weeks to receive the Costco gift card by email, so plan ahead if you want to take advantage of this deal to get all your holiday shopping done.
Shop Holiday Baking Essentials at Costco
Costco is, of course, known for offering great deals on bulk purchases, which makes it the perfect place to stock up on cooking essentials for the holidays. The retailer chose the perfect time of year to drop this membership deal; there’s no better time to take advantage of your local Costco store before the winter holidays truly begin.
If you’re planning on baking enough holiday cookies for the neighborhood, you won’t find a ~butter~ deal than Costco’s bags of bulk flour, sugar, or even baking powder. Need a pumpkin pie (or three) for Thanksgiving? Costco has loads of canned pumpkin to help you out. And yes, the brand even carries plenty of pans, cookie sheets, cookie cutters, and more to help you make all your sweetest holiday dreams come true.
So, what’s the scoop on taking advantage of this year’s deal? All you’ll need to do is head to your nearest Costco to sign up for a membership, and the $45 gift card will make its way to your email inbox within the next two weeks after signing up. Anyone is eligible for the deal, as long as they’re a new member or haven’t held a Costco membership within the last 18 months.
