When it was announced that Rihanna would be the new face of Dior’s J’adore, lives were changed. A dramatic, editorial perfume commercial featuring Rihanna is destined to be iconic, especially one as legendary as J’adore (which previously saw Charlize Theron as the face for 20 years). Now, the first visuals for the campaign are out, and of course, the ANTI singer is making the moment all her own.

On August 16, the first photos of the campaign dropped, taken by photographer Steven Klein. Just as the floral fragrance is golden and airy, Rihanna appears posing in front of Versailles layered in pearls and wearing bronzy, soft glam.

The press release says “It takes a unique goddess with neither limits nor boundaries to embody J’adore. A powerful and inspiring woman, a dazzling and remarkable beauty. An idol who dreamed of a life and transformed it into gold.”

In the photos, the singer is donning her honey-blonde hair which she sported throughout the spring and summer worn parted in the middle and flowing behind her. Her brows are bleached to be light and wispy, with a glowy radiant complexion defined by just a touch of bronzer. To finish the look, she’s wearing a glossy beige nude lip.

Although the full look isn’t shown, you can see the full-neck pearl choker that’s beaming in the golden light. Quick refresher: The J’adore bottle is gold and has a golden necklace silhouette on its packaging. During Theron’s time as ambassador the gold theme stuck throughout the campaign visuals. The press release reveals that Dior’s previous creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri crafted Rihanna’s custom gown for the shoot that’s “embroidered with pale sequins.”

“Rihanna, truly “herself”, yet seen as never before, devotes herself to the emblematic perfume as she voices its original celebration of life: J’adore!” reads the press release. Iconic is an understatement. Here’s to the new era of J’adore!
