Blake Lively Wears Britney Spears’ Versace Dress at ‘It Ends With Us’ Premiere by Paul Tamburro

Blake Lively has turned heads after paying homage to Britney Spears at the It Ends With Us premiere. The actress arrived to the red carpet wearing a vintage Versace dress that Britney wore back in 2002, providing attendees with a noughties throwback.
Britney wore the dress at the Versace Spring Runway show in the early ’00s, and Lively resurrected the gown for her latest movie. Lively confirmed that the dress was the exact one worn by Britney, and also paid homage to the singer on Instagram.
In a story posted on her official Instagram page, Lively referred to Britney as “the ultimate queen.”
“Britney, us millennials all have a story of a moment, or of years that you made us want to shine and inspire awe, with strength, and joy and immensely hard work,” Lively wrote. Thank you for your example and your contribution to women telling their stories. So excited about your biopic and all you have to come.”
The actress who will play Britney in the upcoming biopic has yet to be revealed. Some have speculated that the dress is a hint from Lively that she would take the role. However, there is no confirmation on casting at the time of this writing.

It Ends With Us stars Lively alongside Justin Baldoni. The movie is a romantic comedy based on the Colleen Hoover romance novel of the same name, in which a woman’s chance meeting with a neurosurgeon sparks a relationship that eventually begins to remind her of her parents’ relationship. Lively attended the movie’s premiere alongside husband Ryan Reynolds, who has recently enjoyed success with the release of Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine.
